Her Deadly Game by Robert Dugoni - Review

LaRussa is the main suspect in his wife's murder. Although there isn't much evidence against him, he is facing life in prison. Keera Duggan's failed relationship forced her to leave behind her job as a prosecuting attorney and join her alcoholic father's failing defense team. Keera ends up taking on LaRussa's case.

When you aren't in the courtroom or following the investigation, you are following along a game of chess. As someone who knows how to play chess, I still did not understand some of the specific moves that were mentioned during the matches, so those parts were dull for me.

The characters were likeable, but the pace of this legal drama was a bit slow for me. It started off well and ended well but the in-between dragged at times.

Overall a good story.

If you are a fan of courtroom and police procedurals with some family drama thrown in, this book is for you.
