Ward D by Freida McFadden - [ARC] Review - Audio
Thank you to Deamscape Media, Freida McFadden, & NetGalley for the ARC (audio). I knew going in that this was going to be a page turner. A medical student, Amy, is doing her required overnight rotation in the locked psychiatric ward and that is the last place she wants to be. She is on edge the moment she steps off of the elevator. The story alternates between Amy's childhood and the present. The psych ward setting was so compelling. My thoughts were all over the place, not knowing who or what to believe. The description of the characters, the setting, everything, it was all so vivid without being overly descriptive. I felt like I was watching a movie. This book held my attention from start to finish. Its fast paced, entertaining, and keeps you guessing until the end. For someone who releases a new book as often as she does, it's quite impressive that she can continue to give us stories as compelling as the last. Nice work Freida. The narration was good, a little slow...
